In the West, more and more men are realizing that women are simply not worth dating or marrying anymore. They’re never satisfied, always complain about little things and they are expensive. Men are realizing that women are just one big, ongoing bill. When a woman can leave a man at anytime after the man has paid for so many things for her, then it makes sense to just stay single for life and just have friends. Some of the most miserable men in the US and West are married or have kids. They can’t afford their dependents along with the drama and it becomes very unhealthy for men. The bottom line is it’s sometimes just better to stay single and childless these days. We all can learn to live single and just have friends. A woman can become a big, expensive headache for a man. I’ve had lots of women all over the world in my life but I find I enjoy life better being single. The benefits of just staying single are awesome. 😃

You made some good comments. A lot of well-off American men worked in the rat race, endured a spoiled ex-wife and now face a government and society that criticizes them for their hard work and success. You often see it in the comments of these vlogs. Many of them don't really care about fancy things and impressing people. They're leaving the US for a simpler life with some amount of anonymity, and a woman who is vastly different than American women.

Looks retirement age to me. Even if he can't access his 401K, why is he not drawing Social Security? Nah, there's more going on here than is being said.

As for the traffic there Steve, i'm an old Highway Cop and i was shocked when i first arrived there on Cebu early 2008, rest assured one gets accustomed to it after a year or two, i found it's better to drive like them and do not apply Western road rules to your own driving but at the same time practising defensive driving for your own safety. The best answer to the local price inflation targeting expat housing is what is called a "buyer's strike". Just like the recent 2 months deposit thing. Refuse it and WALK AWAY. It usually does not take long to starve the greed out of them.

I remember losing my job in 09 , it was due to companies cutting back due to the Obamacare mandate increasing premiums to skyrocket which caused companies to trim the fat , luckily i had my contacts and started being a subcontractor for the Gov housing authority contracting 4800 units a year , gov housing was the only thing growing and progressing back then because people were losing everything .

I remember the housing crisis all to well. It was devastating for me. I lost my job and then lost 4 duplex properties as the renters could not pay rent and I was unable to cover the mortgage. My wife at that time divorced me and I ended up broke and homeless. It was another "Great Depression" for Americans in my mind. I relocated for work making less than half of what I was used to and had to pull from savings and 401K. Things got better but it took many years for me to recover. It was a horrible time. I hope we never go through that again.

Well. I was not in a good relationship here at least in my opinion. Just felt used and trapped and wondered all the time where are these wonderful girls? I'm not in a relationship anymore and ... I never want to be. But now the Pi is finally starting to feel like Thailand to me. Very slowly. People leave me alone. And I love that and appreciate that. I plan to bounce all around SE Asia. I get more out of that by myself. I was married for 30 years and she's dead now. But the more I am alone, the more I think maybe that was the way I was always supposed to be. Everyone is different. My message is do what makes you feel good not what everyone else is doing. Their fun could be your misery. Find your fun.
